Prestando AB is a leading Swedish supplier within development and manufacturing of stamped and welded products towards the global automotive industry. With an in-house design and tooling department and state of the art production equipment, Prestando offers press and punching of all sheet materials, ranging from 1 to 12 mm thickness, vibration dampers and other high solid steel components. As part of the next step in the development of the Chinese plant, Prestando is now looking for a local Production Manager to Wuxi.

Role & Responsibility
In the role as Production Manager, you will have the over-all responsibility for the production and manufacturing management. Your job contains everything from monitoring and supervising the plant production as well as working with productivity and capacity planning linked to both machines and manpower. Further on, you will work with technical training and competence development ensuring that the high Quality-standards are up to date and fully executed. Another important aspect of the job is to be a technical expert ensuring high technical know-how among the workers so that production are being accomplished as efficient and smooth as possible. At your help you will have Planning & Quality managers.
The over-all goal is to ensure that local production is being executed cost efficiently and according to the Swedish Head Quarters international quality standards as well as the customer requirements enabling growth without quality deviations. You will be working towards set goals and KPI’s within areas such as quality, lead-times, Machine run time, cost efficiency and technical know-how among workers. You will also take an active part in the local management team.

Experiences & Characteristics
In order to succeed in the role as Production Manager, you are an experienced and skillful production manager, used to an international environment with high quality requirements. You have several years of experience from production planning and project management, from within the automotive industry and enjoy working in close collaboration with colleagues and departments.
Experience from high volume production with European quality standards, 5S and customer interaction are key, as well as being fluent in English speaking and writing.
As a person you are a natural leader with great communication and social skills. You are a problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit and eye for details. Other crucial characteristics are; honest, team player with a structural and analytical mindset.
In terms of education, you possess an engineering degree with great abroad experience.
The placement of the job is at Prestando´s plant in Wuxi.
