Overview
A Senior Software Engineer is an experienced professional responsible for transforming requirements and ideas into high quality functional Software Solutions. He/she possesses extensive experience in Software Development, has in-depth knowledge of computer programming languages (especially in C# .NET, C++ & Python), databases, and network communications, and is comfortable with some Project Management.
As a Senior Software Engineer, he/she will be a key contributor to the design and development of Software for high performance semi-conductor processing machines.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, troubleshoot, debug code: Develop high-quality software, perform unit tests, troubleshoot + debug code when necessary, and execute various tasks in the software development life cycle.
Write, review requirements: Write or review requirements based on input from stakeholders, and design, implement, and test solutions to meet them.
Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software development, deployment, and support.
Guidance and mentorship: When applicable, mentor junior team members, disseminate knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer: Demonstrated track record in software development.
Extensive experience in software development: Proficiency in programming languages such as C# .NET (must), C++ (preferred), Python (preferred).
Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Strong background in software development and familiarity with Agile Practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to evaluate and understand complex software systems and applications.
Basic communication skills: Effective communication within the team and with stakeholders. Reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in English.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Initiative: Ability to work with minimal supervision and be proactive.
Learning mindset: Ensure software solutions are current and aligned with industry best practices.
Preferred Skills (Not mandatory, but beneficial)
Vision: Familiarity with third party machine vision software (Halcon preferred)
Motion Control: Familiarity with third party motion systems & software (ACS and Googao preferred)
RTOS (Realtime OS) skills: Proficiency in developing real-time applications using RTOS platforms (VxWorks or Linux)
Experience with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes): Familiarity with MFC for Windows application development
Proficiency in Git and JIRA: Knowledge of version control (Git) and issue tracking (JIRA) tools
Qualifications
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related Field
7+ years of professional experience in designing and developing Software Solutions
