Job Description
  1. Expert and contact person for the markets/market segments assigned to him and the associated target customers
  2. Deep understanding of the technical and commercial requirements of the target customers
  3. Carries out continuous market observation of important influencing factors and needs or trend analysis and proactively recommends corrective measures to management
  4. Knows the most important competitors and competitive technologies and ensures that this market information remains current and relevant
  5. Develops sustainable business concepts in close cooperation with suitable contact persons at customers, partners, and suppliers in order to adequately support the economic goals of the business unit, the region, and tesa
  6. Uses internal and external sources of information to develop customized product and service portfolios
  7. Works together with the internal functions Sales Management / Key Account Management, Product Management, Application and Product and Technology Development, as well as the MarCom Team on projects
  8. Within the projects, the Supervisor Market Segment Management assumes the role of the Project Ower for his projects. This role includes responsibility for the time and cost of implementing the business concept to be realized (product development and launch) the preparation and coordination of a clear project briefing
  9. Creates effective go-to-market strategies and marketing concepts for the market launch in cooperation with Sales (Sales Management / Key Account Management), Business Development Management, Product Management, Market Segment Management of other affected regions and the MarCom team
  10. Leads international and cross-functional project teams and is responsible for tracking and maintaining the strategic goals for the assigned market segment
  11. Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of market/product price strategies following the corporate strategy in regards to penetration of specific markets
  12. Responsible for the content creation of digital content for the market segment for which she/he is responsible and provides the corresponding digital content.
  13. At important events, he represents his and thus tesa's specialist expertise. For digital channels, he prepares relevant technical articles "White Papers" to expand the external network and generate relevant customer contacts for sales.
  14. Leading Marketing Specialists of his segment, share experience and coach working skill, (customer communication, report and speech skill, data consolidate and analysis)


Job Requirements

  1. Degree or Professional Diploma holder, preferably in Chemistry, Polymer, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering related.
  2. 5-7 years of experience in a sales function, key account management product development and/or product, or other similar market management function ideally in the automotive or other similar industry (spec-in processes, QM, market complexity)
  3. 3-5 years of proven experience in the analysis of complex interrelationships, the development of effective concepts to achieve goals and the implementation in cross-functional and international project teams
  4. 3-5 years project management experience. Ideally proven by certificates also in agile project management methods
  5. 3-5 years of experience in leading virtual teams
  6. First experience in working with business-to-business market segmentation. Experience and familiarity with developing new segmentation models helpful.
  7. Experience in using "Big Data Management" and related analysis tools
  8. Experience in Business-to-Business Modeling using the Business CANVAS Model is advantageous
  9. Entrepreneurial thinking and acting. Strong understanding of business administration. Affinity to technical and technological topics.
  10. Convincing presentation skills of complex topics especially in front of a larger professional audience
  11. Ability to work independently, while being essentially a committed team player;
  12. Excellent English skill in writing and speaking
  13. Good PC (MS-Office) skills
  14. Willing to travel frequently
  15. Be able to manage critical incident and anti-pressure ability
