The Role

NI Technical Support Engineer (TSE) supports key customers to ensure their success through deep technical expertise of NI Products, Platforms and Systems. TSEs respond to and anticipate technical needs to help maintain or accelerate our customers' development schedule, building customer loyalty and gaining a reputation as trusted technical partners. TSEs advocate for our customers recommending Platform and System improvements to R&D, providing customer insight to sales, and make sure NI is ready to support new Products and Systems.

Key Performance Objectives

• Enable key customer success and contribute to support revenue by delivering professional paid technical consultation service (Code Review, Design Assistance, System Migration Assistance, etc.)
• Effectively handle APAC technical escalations on specific NI product/platform/system from all the NI engineering teams
• Closely collaborate with NI Global Product R&D and System R&D to provide insight and influence in the whole product lifecycle
• Enhance customer digital service experience by proactively publishing solid technical content with industry-leading technologies and methodologies

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors or master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Semiconductor industry or RF test applications
• Knowledge on NI PXI platform and LabVIEW
• Demonstrated expertise on one or more text-based programming languages (at least including C# or C++) in software design and implementation
• Good communication skills
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, Fluency in English
• Willing and able to travel domestically or internationally, up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on professional service and technical consultation
• Project management skills and sense of urgency in project delivery
