职位描述

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing Managers work closely with the Hardware Team to ensure the supplies and equipment needed to put into production the innovative products. You will use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global supply chain network.

You will serve as the primary contact for internal teams and external suppliers for sourcing, cost and contract negotiations. You'll build consensus with internal and external stakeholders and will be the main contact for consultations and supplier management. Additionally, you'll lead and support the development, implementation and management of global sourcing strategies to provide Engineering & Product teams with optimal pricing, flexibility, quality and supply assurance. Working closely with Product, Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing & Quality Teams you will act as the commercial manager with a focus on supplier selection and qualification, cost negotiations, supplier agreements and maintaining long-term strategic supplier relationships.

  • Participate in identification, selection and qualification of supplier partnerships
  • Negotiate supplier agreements ranging from Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Intellectual Property Agreements (IP) to Master Service Agreements (MSA)
  • Ability to gather, analyze and present data to internal stakeholders in order to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Monitor sourcing projects and report on costs, savings, and timelines
  • Partner with Global Supply Management Team to help identify & qualify alternate 2nd and 3rd suppliers to support sustaining and new products
  • Engage directly with component suppliers executive teams (EE & ME) to mitigate critical shortages to supply and cultivate strategic alliances for business
  • Develop an understanding of cost competing technologies, processes and products to guide and influence product development and decisions; create and/or optimize models for evaluating modules, components, and new processes.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to drive supply chain efficiency; Share best practices that will decrease cost, increase yield or improve delivery
  • Implement business continuity plans for critical components
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and develop action plans to achieve cost savings goals
  • Arrange & participate in supplier site audits with Hardware, Manufacturing & Quality Team

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of experience in materials management, sourcing or supply chain management in a high-volume consumer electronics industry
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional skills
  • A background of working in a team environment is crucial, along with a demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals and objectives
  • BS/BA degree preferred; APICS certification desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is a must

EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA degree preferred, Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or Engineering is preferred.
