POSITION OVERVIEW

Global Strategic Sourcing Analyst responsibility includes assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising stewardship in support of our internal & external customers.  They will have system responsibility including, but not limited to, price updates, invoice discrepancy resolution, and vendor registration.  The Analyst will have additional support responsibilities to include a variety of project-related work and daily management tasks related to material sourcing, usage tracking and forecasting and price reconciliation.  Analysts may also source their own materials ensuring total best value and supply assurance.  Focus will be predominantly on day-to-day activities, but with an eye for improving the way work is done (e.g., system improvements).  Will report to a more senior member of the sourcing team and directly support 1-3 managers/directors.

• Transactional: Perform administration related duties on Procurement tools. (Updating Pricing, Invoice Resolution, System Support)
• Sourcing Support: Perform data gathering and analysis related to Procurement policies, processes and tools. Prepare metrics and analysis for Sourcing function dashboard. Lead projects related to implementation and/or management of Procurement policies, processes and tools. Develop and deliver training on Procurement policies, processes and tools.
• Sourcing: May have some direct sourcing but is not majority of work plan.
• Additionally:  Comply with Sourcing’s best practices, policies, and procedures.  Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.  Manage minimum and maximum order quantities and total volumes.

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in chemical related major, and 2-5 years experience in Sourcing/Procurement functions, 1years experience in petrochemical industries preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel per needs
• Flexible working hrs (eg. night calls)
• Experience working with S&OP/ERP/payment systems.

Minimum Requirements

·       Skills:

o    Problem solving capabilities, strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, excellent written and verbal skills in English, other languages desired.

• Possess intermediate level business understanding, and collaborative/team skills.
• Comfortable working with data bases, ERP systems, and spreadsheets. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

·       Training Provided:  As potential for direct Sourcing, will obtain all training of management level plus training on specific systems. Two week Sourcing skills training.  Plus any training specific to the role required for proficiency.
