Vessels Communication Infrastructure

Ensuring standard infrastructure building during vessel construction. Implement standardization of major components of before system installations.
Supervise the installation of new IT systems onboard. Supervise the yard IT main subcontractors.
Ensuring delivery of IT equipment from vendors & suppliers in line with vessels planning of delivery.
Ensuring that all communication equipment have been properly configured


Site Office IT system

Ensure installation/configuration and maintenance of end users IT equipment (personal computers, telecommunication systems…). Ensure backup of data on the main server (drawings, CR etc..). Keep all entities of the system up to date on regular basis.

Ensure proper supervision of the main office network.

Site Team / Crew Assistance

Ensure proper crew training on communication equipment.
Trainings of site staff, addressing general problems via documents, emails or face to face conversation.


Documents

Recording and filing all documentation and technical modification related to IT system onboard.Record IT equipment configuration parameters.
Control installation and documentation quality.

Generates systems drawings, reference document and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements:
?> 8 years working experience.
?Bachelor degree
?Fluent in English
?Rich experience in network construction, marine Industry or manufacturing industry is preferred.
?Experienced in the vessel industry is essential
?Excellent skills in Microsoft technologies (MCSE Microsoft or similar) including
?Excellent skills in network and telecommunication technologies including LAN Switches, Routers, Satellite links (VSAT, Inmarsat), VoIP (Cisco certification or similar)
?Must be self-motivated and can work well alone without instruction
?Must be ready for the challenge of working in a busy and noisy shipyard
