Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions and present a single unified Harman International interface to the supply base
• Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals
• Build appropriate supplier relationships
• Drive supplier rationalization strategy to maximize category leverage
• Manage the bid and quote process
• Work with supply base to establish robust quality operating systems to support “zero defect” culture
• Support the organization to behave with a sense of urgency and ensure that it is aligned globally

Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this job.

• Have the category sourcing responsibility for designated acoustic components. And take global category responsibility as designated by CMs.
• Responsible for RFQ/PO/SAP for the designated categories for projects in Asia. The scope could expand to global as designated by CMs.
• Drive for continuous cost improvement, lead time reduction, supplier base rationalization, supplier relationship management, resolve critical supply issues, develop and establish new part pricing and terms, new suppliers. Develop BCC suppliers in NA
• Support faceplate & motor structure as required
• List the professional and/or technical competencies needed when performing the key responsibilities of your job.
