Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer will contribute in a number of different areas including production support, continuous improvement, cost reductions, new product development support, and manufacturing systems development.

Responsibilities:

-Develop manufacturing capabilities to build and test new products
-Develop, document, and improve manufacturing assembly and test processes
-Design and manage build of production assembly and test tooling or fixtures
-Develop and implement root cause corrective actions for manufacturing issues
-Support continuous improvement projects
-Develop manufacturing systems to improve quality, delivery performance, and increase efficiency

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
-3 years’ experience
-Self-directed and organized individual
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills including troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
-A high level of initiative and self confidence
-Good written and verbal communications skills
-Enjoys working with people and organizing their efforts to reach a goal
-Commitment to learning and continuous improvement
-Detail-oriented but able to maintain and communicate a vision of the overall goal
-Desire and ability to develop into a leader and project manager
-Strong interest in manufacturing
-Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general use of PC applications

Preferred Qualifications:
-Ability to create and manipulate Solid Works CAD models
-Ability to program using Visual Basic (VB6)
-Ability to install and maintain equipment containing both hardware and software elements
-Ability to develop user interfaces for automated and semi-automated systems
-Ability to program and trouble shoot programmable logic controls
-Ability to troubleshoot and support test equipment with RS232 Serial and/or Ethernet communication protocols
-Masters degree in Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Engineering
-Experience working with manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical products
-Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma problem-solving methods
-GPA of 3.0 or higher
