POSITION: Structural Engineer / Inspector
REPORT TO: Construction Manager
LOCATION: Suzhou
Essential Purpose of Position:
The Structural Engineer/Inspector is part of On-site Construction Team within Design & Construction. This role provides support on all on-site structural inspecting activities during the construction phases and is instrumental to the ability of Tishman Speyer to realize the best quality solution for each project. The Structural Engineer/Inspector will work closely with the Project Team to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and within pre-established design and quality parameters.
General Functional Responsibilities:
? Substantially interface with architects, engineers, contractors and all others necessary for the implementation of the design and construction of the project;
? Implement structural quality assurance/control protocols and review, design coordination, value engineering, specification review, etc. Ensure that structural design is coordinated with the MEP systems and architectural designs.
? Attend project meetings during the pre-construction and construction phases, oversee the preliminary structural design;
? Review contractor submittals.
? Carry out site inspection to ensure the work is in progress and perform site audits to confirm critical dimensions and spot any equipment installation and hook-up problems.
? Prepare monthly project progress reports and financial forecasts;
? Maintain project structure related documentations, setup project structure related database;
? Conduct the final inspection upon the completion of the project regarding structural activities.
? 协助建立和完善公司土建结构设计标准和工程管理标准流程；
? 参与项目施工图会审，审核结构图纸设计合理性和经济性，并提供专业的意见；
? 参与审核项目结构设计和土建工程施工规划细则，确保其符合质量技术标准与要求；
? 建立工程结构相关资料库；
? 协助审核承包商的施工管理水平和技术能力，提出建议；
? 巡视施工现场，对项目结构工程进行全面施工质量审核并监督施工进度；
? 准备每月工程进度报告及财政预报；
? 组织土建施工工程的验收工作。
Essential Functions:
The Structural Inspector must be able to perform the duties of the job, and shall meet the following qualifications:
? Undergraduate or graduate degree in Structural Engineering from accredited institution, or equivalent.
? Minimum 5 years significant hands-on experience in the field of structural inspection of mid to high-rise buildings, preferably with large scale mixed-use development projects in China;
? Worked on at least one high-end and complex development project from beginning to final construction completion with an area over 50,000 sqm.
? Experience working with various consultants and agencies, such as international and local design consultants, government agencies and utility companies; experience working with multinational or foreign companies is preferred.
? Broad and thorough understanding of various structural and foundation systems in commercial, residential, and site infrastructure developments.
? Thorough knowledge and understanding of the drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods.
? Familiarity with government field inspection requirements and local codes for various building design requirements including residential, commercial, service apartments and retail.
? Ability to use and has sufficient knowledge of computer software currently utilized by the Company.
? Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing, is preferred but not required.
? 结构工程相关专业，本科及以上学历；
? 5年以上在中国境内有中高层建筑，特别是大型综合项目的现场工作经验；
? 至少参与过一个超过50,000平方米的高端和综合发展项目的经验；
? 有与各类顾问公司和机构工作的经验，包括国内外设计顾问、政府机构及公用事业公司。有大型外资企业工作经验者优先录取；
? 熟悉各类商业、住宅和工地基础设施的结构及地基系统；
? 精通各类结构图纸、说明书、总承包和转包合同、原材料；
? 熟知政府关于现场检验的要求以及当地对于各类建筑要求的法规，包括住宅、商业、服务式公寓等；
