Responsibilities:

· Comply with and implement company’s HSE policies. Taking part in the related safety activities positively. Report and correct any unsafe issues within production areas.

· Skilled experience in the specification & application of Sensing Elements/Transmitters, Final Control Elements, Pneumatic, Hydraulic systems. Skills to specify instrument, be able to properly size and check sizing calculations for instrumentation including protective devices.

· Knowledge of designing instrumentation systems in an industrial plant environment with respect to operability, maintainability and accessibility. Knowledge of electronic instrumentation, understanding of basics around the use and application of pneumatic instrumentation and controls. Knowledgeable of document management and control systems.

· Understand and interpret engineering drawings, as well as have the capability of directing the development of such drawings.

· Provide discipline engineering support for manufacturing sites when need. Metrics must be met regarding safety, schedules and budgets. Provide assistance in writing lock-out/tag-out plans to ensure safety during new construction and turnarounds.

· Adopt and leverage Speciality Materials Engineering Standards. Maintain or support any site specific requirements or standards, if deem necessary.

· Ensure consistency in standardization of parts and equipment. Adhere to plant standards.

· Provide maintenance technical support to a manufacturing plant when needed. Ability to quickly respond and appropriately assess issues in the plant to minimize production downtime and ensure safe and environmentally responsible action is taken.

· Establish relationship with key suppliers to support plant requirements and introduce new products.

· Owner or participant in the development and revisions of Instrumentation and Control Standard Operating Procedures.

· Provide direction to contractors, maintenance and designers as required. Ensure consistency in drawings and equipment on out-sourced engineering work.

· Ensure QA/QC requirements are met for capital installations.

· Provide project scoping input to ensure accurate and efficient materials and methods are utilized.

· Manage the execution of the instrumentation aspects of a project through engineering/design and construction, while integrating plant personnel to ensure results that meet the needs of the plant Sponsors. Ability to drive non-capital solutions and alternative analyses.

· Support operations and maintenance on an as needed basis. Implement new techniques and technologies to continuously improve department operations. Capable of working with plant to troubleshoot and resolve instrument reliability issues.

· Develop/support instrumentation/control system cost estimates, scheduling and man power loading activities.

· Understand and interpret vendor packages and develop an integration plan.

· Understanding, implementation and integration of motor control schemes.

Requirement:

· Bachelor in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related filed

· At least 3 years of working experience in Chemical industry

· Fluent written and reading English skills

· Computer requirement of office software and graphic design tool such as AutoCAD/Micro station.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Team player capable of working in a multi-discipline, multi-culture environment desire to mentor and develop less experienced staff.
