About the role

Port Operation Analyst has operational accountability for working together with the team to

coordinate shipment plan, ensure vessel berthing, customs clearance and unloading smoothly.

Ensure the safe stacking of cargo and the smooth execution of transportation.Prepare blending simulation, screening plan for RT products and quality control.

Reduce the risk of cargo retention, prevent cargo loss.Ensure that Cargo agents’ reasonable and efficient operation, monitor agents’ work by proper management process.

Contribute for storage cost and all other cost of operation at ports, overall P&L of portside trading. On behalf of RT, Interface with port authorities, customs and inspection bureau.

This role will play effective inventory management, inventory cost and risk control, port authorities and customs relationships maintenance and overall logistics solution. Will also manage Customs clearance of cargo, quality analysis and control, inspection and management of goods.

Reporting to the Port Operation Manager, you will:

• Develop the overall inventory management system and process with total compliance of all Company policies.
• Manage the overall portside inventory risk control system, mitigate the risk in the operation process.
• Maintain quality control of all products, ie, simulation before blending, monitoring of blending, alliance with inspection company, port, agents to ensure all products in high level.
• Deal with customers for any products compliance.
• Arrange the cargo yard in advance, ensure the safety of cargo stacking.
• Observe the vessel line up situation in advance, arrange the smooth berthing of the vessel.
• Arrange the cargo Customs clearance, inspecting.
• Manage the cargo inspection and release of the cargo.
• Assessment of cargo agency, warehousing services
• Keep track of inventory of cargo.
• Develop inventory risk control manual, prevent the loss of cargo, theft.
• Ensure that the cargo are stacked reasonably.
• Ensure the daily maintenance, patrol and water supply of the cargo.
• Develop a statement of inventory of cargo.
• Cost down to keep RT business advantage benchmarked to industry level.
• Daily monitoring of cargo operation in all relevant ports
• collect relevant data to enable business decisions
• Assist Port operation Manager to manage all ports operations

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Bachelor degree
• Strong business ethics
• Strong communication skill.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• SAP proficiency required.
• Excel/PPT/PI/data analysis
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• >3-5 years iron ore operation in a top five industry company
