Job Description Overview
The goal of marketing is to bring awareness to the products and services that make Plexus International a global leader in helping organizations achieve management systems excellence. The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with Plexus’s the global marketing team to contribute to the development and execution of strategic marketing campaigns and adapt the campaigns for the local market.
They will conduct market research and perform complex market analyses (SWOT) on customer, channel, and competitor trends and leverage insights and customer feedback to improve products/services and marketing strategy and outputs. They will recommend marketing and communication tactics, pricing levels, and channel marketing activities, and coordinate with a cross-functional team on the execution of efforts identified on the marketing plan.
They are responsible for brand management, advertising and promotion, providing inputs to new product development, and managing Plexus China’s marketing budget.
This team member will contribute to setting marketing/sales KPIs, and help to build the infrastructure to support the measurement and monitoring of performance against marketing goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute content marketing initiatives and coordinate content creation working with Plexus subject matter experts (SMEs), the global marketing team, and other creatives
- Video content (coordinate with video editors/creators. Video editing skills are a bonus but not required.)
- Blogs/articles
- Whitepapers
- Etc.
- Collaborate with global Plexus Marketing team to develop strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns and localize for the China/Asia-Pacific market.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer journey from discovery all the way to post-purchase and post-service delivery.
- Brand management and localization in line with Plexus’s global brand standards
- Marketing budget management
- Advertising and promotion
- Digital marketing and SEO/SEM initiatives
- Gather customer and market insights to inform marketing strategies, campaigns and initiatives
- Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient/Fluent in English
- Min of 2-4 years of experience with B2B marketing
- Understands the integration of website into social media to support a digital ecosystem
- Must be a skilled writer
- Technical writing, creative and persuasive writing styles
- Experience with or proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite:
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- Illustrator (a bonus but negotiable)
- Has an applicable understanding of SEO/SEM for Baidu and mobile
- Experience with WeChat Marketing as a brand awareness tool
- Ability to seek out and apply strategy to other niche social platforms/forums to reach our specific audience
- Skilled in branding for Chinese market and able maintain and improve global brand guidelines while upholding consistency with the global standard and ensuring it is applicable and appropriate in the local market.
- Experience with Wordpress or similar CMS platform, and understanding of UX/UI best practices for the local market
- Understanding of ecommerce best practices and able to work toward integrating ecommerce of individual training workshops/seminars and CTS licenses into their WeChat strategy
- Experience with paid digital advertisement (PPC)
- Strong project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry sector, or the global manufacturing and supply chain industry is highly preferred but not required.
