POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly capable individual for China Reference Lab Manager. This role plays a critical role in setting up, managing the daily operations of the reference lab. The lab manager is responsible for all aspects of the laboratories, including, (but not limited to) instrumentation/equipment, laboratory personnel and supplies, quality control, quality assurance and ensures that the operations run effectively and efficiently.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Responsible for setting up a world class reference lab, getting lab registered and related regulatory approval. Monitor the construction and start the operation as planned；

2.Responsible for the management of lab daily operation. lead the team, develop training curriculum and motivate subordinates to obtain the best performance and result

3.Develop advanced testing methods and formulate SOP to help ensure high testing quality; review testing data and approve testing reports to deliver test results in a timely manner. Develop new test types and upgrade test methods according to the market needs in order to maintain technical leadership in the industry；

4.Responsible for managing lab equipment and supplies so that equipment can be in good work condition all the time；

5.Monitor testing methods and procedures to comply to the requirements of the company and local government regulations;

6.Keep close communication and collaboration with various functions under Zoetis and form synergy among three Zoetis CA business lines (Point of Care Diagnosis, pharmaceuticals and third party lab business) at hospitals；

7.Responsible for managing expenses and cashflow，support Zoetis sales team to achieve financial target.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

1.Directly reports to CA Business Unit Lead;

2.Strong working relationship with the CA diagonosis business manager, CA technical lead, CA marketing lead and other enabling functions that affect lab;

3.Strong working relationship with regional and international diagnosis and lab expertise.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Education:

Veterinary or medical diagnosis master’s degree or above

Experience:

Five-year lab working experience and two-year lab management experience; experience in setting up lab SOP preferred

Skills:

1.Strong sense of responsibility to deliver results, good analytic and problem solving skills. Can work under pressure and is committed to implement SOP and continuously improve the process.

2.Good time management skills, proficient with leading project management and statistics software a plus

3.Excellent at communication, cross function coordination and teamwork. Strong leadership and good coaching and motivational skills

4.Proficient in oral and written Mandarina and English communication

Working Locatoin and Other requirement:

1.Location based in Shanghai, China

2.Limited local or global travel

3.Since this job is based in China, China national or native Chinese speaker is a must requirement
