In this role, you have the opportunity to

    

To work with cross-function team drive our ongoing improvement programs for existing commercialized products, to implement the improvement, corrections, scale up, maintain assurance of supply as well as value engineering activities in order to improve the gross margin throughout the product life cycle.

    

    

You are responsible for

• A critical team member working closely with cross-functional teams of engineering, procurement, service, marketing, supply chain, quality and regulatory, solving technical problems.
• Modifying, implementing and supporting existing products through adherence to the company established design control process and good engineering practices, complete assigned tasks, deliver results on time and on target.

            

• Utilizes available resources to resolve technical problems, offers technical assistance in product detail design, implementation, manufacturing and assurance of supply, resolves issues for sustaining Engineering purposes.

• Utilizes existing processes to make continuous improvement related to cost reductions, quality improvement.
• Perform trouble shoot and root cause analysis on issues from customer and production line, as well as design verification and product validation, ensure deliverables have no risk in safety and reliability.

            

• Provide technical knowledge during selection of electronic components, electromechanical sub-assemblies, PCB/A vendors, cable vendors and other suppliers to ensure highest quality while meeting cost goals.

    

    

You are a part of

    

Sustaining & Value Engineering (SVE) team, which is part of the R&D organization of the Monitoring and Analysis business within the Connected Care cluster.

    

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Bachelor Degree (BS) or higher in electrical engineering, or related field equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years electrical engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience in analog, digital, power, PCB layout, EMC/EMI, Microcontroller and processor centered electrical design

                

• Knowledge in design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, Cost of Goods, second sourcing.

• Medical device industry experience preferred
• Working experience with the global R&D and engineering organizations preferred.
• Good English communication skills (both verbal and written) required
