SUMMARY:



As the Supply Analyst for Oreck's newly established Shenzhen operation, you will be responsible for the acquisition of required materials, services and equipment with the ability to work directly with all levels and disciplines within Oreck Corporation, as well as outside companies to establish and implement both short and long-term best in class strategic procurement processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate the creative resolution of supply issues while maintaining proper financial controls and inventory levels.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support the company's cost controls and asset utilization.
Perform negotiations and development of procurement strategy/programs.
Continuously search the marketplace to identify best in class purchase process and practices.
Identify and make recommendations on strategies to effectively manage the supply-base.
Develop and maintain spend management reporting and analysis on available systems.
Maintain a working knowledge of market conditions for all strategic commodities/materials purchased by the company.
Manage the strategic supplier risk management program.
Assist with project management and all other duties as assigned.
Facilitate supplier participation in improvement activities. Support plant level supplier score card,
Purchase Materials and/or services for other departments as directed by management.
Coordinate orders processing tracking, shipment, customs clearance, tracking, freight payment and other logistics issues that may happen or as assigned. Work with local suppliers, freight agent and purchasing department in USA to improve order-to-delivery results.
Provide communication links with contract manufacturing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree, major in supply chain management, mechanical/engineering is preferred
Fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese strongly preferred
3+ years direct or related experience in purchasing or supply chain
Results oriented, a pro-activeness and a team player
Strong negotiation ability, good interpersonal skills
Good command for both oral and written English
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
