Project Description

The Panel, Process, and Optics Group is looking for an engineering services candidate directly responsible for the implementation of systems which carry out performance validation of optics systems. The candidate should have strong Physics/Optics/CS/Color Science/EE Engineering background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This engineer will work on hardware validation and software development activities in factory.

Job Responsibilities

Development, deployment, and debugging of optical system performance verification stations during new product introduction (NPI). Responsibilities include:

Develop, optimize and debug station software

Validate and develop optics related test and calibration systems Validate the station for measuring and calibrating optical devices Deploy and bring up stations to factories

Report station bring-up status, data analysis, critical issues Capability in failure rate, symptom, failure analysis and root cause Debug devices from the system level down to the component level

Requirements

BS/MS with 3 years experience in Physics/Optics/CS/Color Science/EE. Previous experience related to optics, camera, and/or display technology

Familiar with optics metrology tools, e.g. colorimeters, spectrometers, digital camera and light sources

Knowledge of one or more of the following: software, EE, mechanical design, display, optics, color science, image processing, and physics

Programming skills in one or more of the following: Matlab/Python/Objective-C

Communication

Fluent english in speaking, listening, reading and writing

Excellent interpersonal skills. Clear technical communication with teammates and partners. Self-motivated and eager to learn more across disciplines.
