Position Overview: The Software Engineer will take an active role in the design and development based on the board level to meet the function requirement and provide the electronics related technical support for prototype, trial run and production as requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and debug MCU firmware for electronics parts of NPD new project
- Works with developers using Agile processes, and software tools and platforms.
- Collaborates with development and quality assurance teams and be self-motivated
- Conduct firmware design and debug as marketing requirements with quite independence
- Assist PM to achieve project requirements in cost, quality and schedule.
- Has excellent follow-through, creative approaches to solving problems and exercises thoughtful risk-taking.
- Production and trial run and technology support
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electronics/Electrical, equivalent technical degree
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience on embedded firmware, preferably specializing in electro-mechanical product development.
- At least proficient in one kind of comparatively advanced MCU, such as ST, Freescale, TI processor
- Experience with C/C++, Assembly language
- Experience with communication protocol, IIC, SPI, RS232, USB, Ethernet and stepper motor control, etc
- Familiar with RTOS, Linux is better.
- Knowledge in PC terminal application software, VC++ or C# or Java
- Strong object-oriented design/ development applying design patterns
- Written and verbal communications skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Experience with hardware design
- Experience with FPGA,CPLD application
- Be capable of building software development platform and EDA tools by self
