Position Profile - Supplier quality specialist

Report To - Quality Head, global sourcing office, Asia Pacific in Shanghai

Function: Procurement, for Japan programs


Overview:

Work with purchasing specialist to identify the capable supplier base to support Japan existing programs transfer by clearly defining car OEM and TE Japan quality expectations, auditing and assessing the new suppliers, providing the related supplier quality training, improving the supplier capability to meet TE requirement, leading the responsibility on the supplier APQP and PAPP, ensuring the supplier quality problems to be resolved on time during SOP time frame and using quality tools efficiently to drive for continuous improvement at supplier site.


Principal Accountabilities:

? Introduce quality specific requirement to the supplier base
? Audit and assess the supplier
? Work with the supplier to close the gap as identified during the audit
? Address the supplier questions or concerns during the quotation process on the specs and technical requirement
? Responsible to deliver supplier APQP and PPAP
? Supplier quality problem solving by using the quality tools
? Supplier 8D and containment plan
? Supplier continuous improvement


Education/Experience:
? Bachelor degree in Engineering and high degree is plus
? 6+ years working experience and at least 2 years in the Automotive industry
? Engineering background or experience such as designer or manufacturing process engineers with years focus is the plus
? The latest job should be the quality expert for years
? Good Japanese, English communication, Multi-lingual preferred
? Strong understanding of business unit products
? Solid knowledge in the molding, rubber seal product
