JOB TITLE HERE

THE ROLE:

RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) China Customer Engineering team is essential to the success of AMD as a growing company. We provide world class program and issue management support customers like Lenovo, Xiaomi, Dell, HP, ASUS etc. throughout RFQ, development, sustaining and EOL. Application Engineer is an important position to secure design wins and maintain great customer relationship. You will be working with the very best engineering teams in our technology, while working on some of the most exciting products the industry has to offer.

THE PERSON:

A self-motivated team player with English in reading, writing and speaking. Able to work under high pressure and time limitation. Good communication skill and able to work with global stakeholders effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Triage/Debug system issues from driver side and co-work with AMD global software development team and platform development team.
• Support AMD OEM/ODM customers directly in daily work and do issue analysis/isolation at 1st level from driver side. To be the issue owner and drive Graphic Driver issue closure inside AMD.
• Accountable for all technical aspects of delivering differentiating software on AMD's APU and GPU platforms.
• Provide developer guidance, software optimization, testing and implementation support by request.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years working experience in display technology or X86 PC product development is a plus.
• Technical skills and experience in software product development using C / C++.
• Experience with display driver on any platform is a plus.
• Know the concept of color space conversion, gamma, hardware blending, HDR is a plus.
• Familiar with CEA/VESA specification (HDMI/DP) is a big plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and drive completion of business goals
• Experience working in a multi-site environment and ability to travel occasionally to meet with developers
• A team player, who is very self-motivated, loves difficult challenges, and is goal driven
• Basic English verbal communication skill is required.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or equivalent
