Role Summary/Purpose

Reports to Global Relationship Manager for Energy and be based in GE key office in Beijing or Shanghai. Role will drive growth for WCS in China by originating new accounts receivable portfolios from client operating entities. Works closely with the GRM and the integrations team to cover all WCS client groups with initial focus on Energy & Healthcare.


Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for key commercial deliverables for the client including new business volumes and successful operational integration of clients’ processes and systems into the business. Develop close collaborative relations with local contacts at the client to maximizing account receivables opportunities for WCS Implement strategy for the client relationship and be responsible for delivering business objectives including volume, number of integrations and returns Negotiate key terms and conditions with the targeted client entity; Collate and prepare deal-critical data from relevant functions at client operating entities and from relevant internal functions, including Legal, Risk, Pricing, Compliance, Funding, Collections, IT and Operations, in order to prepare and deliver presentations to the WCS Credit Committee Coordinate drafting and issuance of proposals and commitment letters to client entities and follow through on relevant negotiations until deal closure/sign-off; Drive and coordinate due diligence efforts required ahead of Credit Committee reviews. Lead a cross-functional deal team from origination to closure managing all processes required to successfully close the project, including coordination of business teams from both the client entity and WCS and drive integration execution per agreed and communicated timelines Understand core WCS systems and business processes to lead and implement change throughout the Integration process Develop/maintain consolidated deal pipeline and proactively communicate changes to deadlines and project scope. Negotiate resource allocation for pipeline of projects; Secure client resources for project management and execution Liaise with WCS Capital Markets team, Risk team and the Commercial Analyst to identify attractive business opportunities via external investors Provide deal team support to help monetize import receivables (balances owed by debtors based in China via selling entities located outside China)


Qualifications/Requirements

University degree in finance, accounting or related business field At least 7 years related work experience in business, finance or banking Fluent Mandarin … and strong command of English, both written and verbal Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to interact and operate at senior level within GE Strong understanding of external funding structures (syndications and securitizations), AR financing and collections Knowledge and experience in deal structuring and underwriting techniques Candidate must have successful experience in working in a matrix organization and clear strengths in advocacy, teamwork and influencing Skilled in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel Experience and knowledge from GE Industrial highly desirable but not a requirement
