Objective of Job

Senior HMI Engineer

Brief Task Description

* Responsible for the User Interface requirements. 

* Understanding the HMI requirements starting from a Target Setting using competitive vehicle set defined together Product Planning.

* Development of HMI requirements related to infotainment systems through user design techniques.

* Writing of the Logic and flow specification of HMI concepts (for HeadUnit, CLUSTER and HUD) in a format suitable for E/E department, Studio and Suppliers.

* Development of consumer APPs specifications and their testing for usability and distraction.

* Development of interaction logics and HMI specifications for new Smartphone and Tablet applications and their onboard vehicle integration.

* Design and testing of usability in labs and trough virtual reality. 

* Contribution to the development of interface simulators.

* Specs Development for lay out design of Head Unit/CLUSTER/HUD in order to maximize usability (effectiveness and efficiency in interaction) and avoid distractions.

* Testing on-component and on-vehicle.

* Interaction with E/E department, STUDIO and Suppliers.

Qualifications

* Bachelor or above, major in Industrial design, Interaction Design or Software Engineering. 

* Knowledge in User-centered design approaches and best practices. 

* Knowledge within car industry. 

* Previous work experience, at least 3 years in similar job area. 

* Skilled in using design tools (Sketch, Flinto, Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)

* Excellent English communication skill with others FCA regions (NAFTA and EMEA) and to keep a global view for the HMI specifications.
