SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

As part of Knowles Intelligent Audio team, Field Application Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing technical customer engagement and deployment. A successful candidate should be able to provide expert technical guidelines to help our customers to choose our products and manage technical interaction between Knowles and customer throughout full customer project cycles. Position will have a serious impact on the overall success of company operations and reports to Director of Field Application Engineering.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide presentations and lead discussions regarding the technical aspects of our products and technologies in the pre design-in phase

• Provide technology demos to customers and provide customers a compelling experience while evaluation of Knowles solutions. 

• Provide technical program management support  to key customer and partner projects

• Provide technical product trainings to customers and partners to enable customers/partners to develop end products effectively with KN development kits
• Be the internal advocate for the customer to ensure that their requirements are understood and met effectively by Knowles.

• Become the trusted technical partner at all levels of the customer’s design team.

• Understand the need to select customers based on their alignment with Knowles commercial and strategic focus.

• Be a voice of customers include understand customers’ evolving and future needs in order to provide guidance to the BU on new product ideas.

• Be the first line of technical support layer for tier2 and tier3 customers on Portal

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical major.

• Minimum of 10 years field engineering experience with audio/DSP/Porcessor companies.

• Past work experience in audio in consumer devices such as mobile phones, IoT devices and ear devices

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.

• Focused attention to detail and timely follow up ability.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team. 

• Ability to travel domestically with some international travel as required
