Job Description:
The Technical Sales Engineer has primary responsibility for achieving design-wins that drive future revenue for Intelligent Audio. This involves frequent direct communication with customers, preparing and delivering the required messaging and collateral to overcome obstacles and convince the customer to adopt Intelligent Audio AISonic products. This individual will proactively develop necessary customer organizational understanding and build relationships with the key decision makers to improve design-in success. This person will work closely with Marketing, Customer Engineering and R&D Engineering teams on refining collateral, processes and priorities to maximize customer design-wins..
The major responsibilities of this role will include, however are not limited to the following.
Directly responsible for delivering design wins that lead to revenue.
Develop technical sales strategy and support Marketing, Customer Engineering and R&D with the creation of the required collateral to achieve design-wins, including customer focused presentations on the technical merits of Intelligent Audio AISonic solutions.
Identify technical issues at accounts to ensure that the internal team is aware of potential difficulties and work with the product teams to understand the technical workarounds to overcome customer objections.
Uncover new use cases that uniquely enhance the value of Intelligent Audio products through market knowledge, customer engagement, and communication with internal as well as ecosystem partners.
Capture technical requirements and architecture of a customer’s system and partner with marketing, customer engineering and R&D teams to strategize for architectural design wins.
Must be prepared to travel up to 20% of their time to visit customers outside of Shenzhen area along with weekly customer visits in Shenzhen area up to 80% of time while in Shenzhen.
Report frequent updates to the team on design-in progress and required actions, including weekly formal SFDC reporting on key opportunities.
Experience, Skills and Education Required:
· Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales and knowledge of technology specifically a deep understanding of audio and sensor architecture in smartphone and IOT markets.
Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs and when submitting reports
Organized and analytical, able to eliminate technical obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
Must possess the ability and mindset to work remotely from HQ and have the ability to drive the HQ team to close on related action items and voice of customer
10+ years of technical sales or marketing experience related to mobile handset, IOT & audio
Experience, Skills and Education Desired:
Experience building technical sales organization and support infrastructure
Strong system design experience in hardware and/or software with a preferred audio/DSP/Processor background
Participation in creating technical sales collateral, application notes and white papers
MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related
