Job Responsibilities
A. Participate as a member of project teams (APQP, design reviews, FMEA, etc.);
B. Responsible for the design of tools, fixtures, gauges;
C. Develop process documentation (PFMEA, process floor plans, process flow charts, operator instruction sheets, etc., all relevant documentation per QS9000 operating systems requirements);
D. Establish preventative and productive maintenance criteria;
E. Carry out error proofing;
F. Trouble shooting production equipment and processes and implementing improvements and modifications to existing assembly and test equipment;
G. Start up and validate new and improved assembly equipment;
H. Develop operator instruction sheets which direct production operators in optimum running of various equipment and technicians in fixing production equipment;
I. Develop and document new assembly processes to improve process reliability and support new product launches (PPK, CPK, process validation plans, etc.) through the assembly process;
J. Develop documentation packages for changes to assembly processes;
K. Communication with suppliers as required;
L. Communication with the customer and visits if required;
M. All reasonable requests made by the company.
Qualifications
1 Bachelor in Engineering;
2 Experience with production assembly equipment (PLC's, pneumatics, etc.) and processes;
3 Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing;
4 Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
5 Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English;
6 Minimum three years experience in a production environment, preferably in the automotive industry;
7 Customer-focused, proactive problem solver;
8 Effective communicator;
9 Team player;
10 Gets Results.
