Job Description
Support the Honeywell Avionics Certification Liaison Department as follows:
Work with US development teams, HTS development teams, and various certification authorities to coordinate software development certification activities
Coordinate with program management at all Honeywell sites that have certification activities in China.
Support creation and deployment of DO-178B processes and guidelines for engineering oversight of supplier software development
Support creation/review of software development plans, summaries, and configuration lifecycle data.
Support DO-178B training activities in China
Conduct DO-178B compliance audits
Create 1st draft audit reports
Support rating process used by the US-based teams to rate China suppliers to Honeywell.
Support both TSO/PMA and TC/STC certification processes
Travel up to 20% of time
Preference of 5+ years experience in avionics development as QA or project engineer

TSO Specialist which is equivalent to DER
Special Work Scope:
Oversight program quality
Stage of Involvement Audit
Certification Document Review and Signature as per delegation
Working with OEM directly, such as COMAC and AVIC etc.
Working with authorities(CAAC, FAA etc)

Specific Qualifications as they relate to:
Education: BS in Engineering (computer science or electrical preferred)
Knowledgeable in the area of design, integration and certification of avionics systems involving software development
Have the capability to prepare, organize and successfully deploy new policies, processes and programs
Capability to coordinate oversight plans with the cert authorities, customers, and Honeywell technical/program managers
Capable of coordinating the work of different Honeywell Avionics certification and engineering groups relative to the offshore oversight processes.
Understand the applicable regulatory guidelines including ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178B
