Key Responsibilities

1. Working directly with factories to:

a. Provide & explain consolidated global forecasts

b. Identify & fix production bottlenecks before they become a problem

c. Identify & resolve sub-vendor pinch-points or risks

d. Monitor critical tooling status (adequate capacity, longevity etc)

e. Identifies critical/risky components & implements/polices stocking and/or dual sourcing to secure supply

f. Implements medium-term strategies to reduce lead times & increase responsiveness

g. Ensure TTI gets priority service from the vendor base

h. Monitors production planning of all key orders (via subordinates)

2. Monitoring and reporting key supply chain metrics

3. Liaising with overseas sales offices to communicate supply chain issues, resolutions & updates

4. Implements product End of Life (EOL) policy at vendor level

5. Assists in NPD (New Product Development) process:

a. Input on vendor selection

b. Input on improvements required prior to MP to ensure stable & reliable output

c. Monitors initial order planning & output to secure timely product launch

6. Co-ordinating & managing his subordinates activities

Person Specifications

1. significant relevant experience (min. 8 years) in sourcing, supply chain management or manufacturing

2. A high level of pro-activity and initiative is essential (a true “self-starter”)

3. strong negotiation & team-working skills

4. strong multi-tasking capabilities, and be able to combine urgent “fire-fighting” & tactical skills, with longer-term strategic improvement initiatives

5. Leadership Competencies (LC) required:Strategic thinking, commercially-minded, high level of initiative, team-working and supervisory skills

6. Functional Competencies (FC) required:Excellent organizational skills, strong analytical ability, competent in MS Office, excellent Mandarin & good English language skills.
