Key Responsibilities:

design and develop new mechanic products for automotive such as tensioner.
design products using CAD (mostly CATIA V5) / CAE tools and to perform design analysis and evaluation
develop product according to reusability (building blocks), design to cost and design to manufacturing strategies
design plastic, sheet metal and casting components
produce relevant documentation including drawings, requirements management, technical design documents, customer related activities follow up documents
verify and validate design integrity on bench and in vehicle
follow engineering design process and product release procedures
provide technical support to manufacturing during pilot run and production start-up
actively participate to the DFMEA to ensure the quality of he designed part
communicate relevant information within the team and supplier, contractors
participate to continuous improvement by applying but also creating or improving design guide
participate to international product development teams


Key Requirements:

bachelor or above degree in Mechanical Engineering
five years experience in mechanical plastic product design
experience in automotive or consumer mechanical product design will be a plus
excellent knowledge of plastic, sheet metal and casting
strong design analytical skills
knowledge of rapid prototyping and plastic and sheet metal tooling will be an advantage
good knowledge of CAD / CAM / CAE design tools, virtual prototyping and simulation is an added advantage
with task / project planning and participate in new product development with others as a team
comprehensive technical English reading/writing and verbal communication skills are required
good understanding of transmission system of automotive will be an added advantage
