In order to support several vehicle development projects in Asia, we are looking for qualified experts who are able to face the challenges of the international markets with openness, flexibility and enthusiasm. As an interface between the project management with the Asian market, you may grab the opportunity of being posted at our site in Suzhou / near Shanghai where you can contribute to set up an attractive area of work.
Misison:
Managing and coordinating the Purchasing project team and acting as the key contact to all areas of the purchasing market.
As interface between the Asian purchasing market and the corporate headquarters, responsible for standardisation and integration of global processes.
Initiate and accompany the supplier selection process and ensure the services of the supply network in order to meet the due dates, costs and quality requirements.
Responsible for achieving the cost targets within the scope of target costing.
Ensure that the targets are achieved in cooperation with the national and international departments of the purchasing teams as well as taking counter-measures on time whenever target/actual performance comparisons deviate.
Direct report to the Overall Project Manager

Profile:
Degree in Commerce or Commercial Engineering, or commercial/technical education with qualifying advanced training.
At least 3-5 years working experience in Purchasing/Supplier Management or Project Management
A grasp of technical contexts and reliable skills in project management
Very good grasp of commerce and high degree of cost awareness
Fluent English, ideally good knowledge of German/Chinese as well as willingness to make occasional business trips
Intercultural competence, ideally experience abroad.
