Description
· Provide support for troubleshooting issues - assist quality engineer with decision making regarding irregularities such as discolouration, furnace chart anomalies, shear test results etc.
· Metallographic analysis of Porocoat samples for routine inspection - Porocoat morphology
· Metallographic analysis of Porocoat samples for furnace and product validations - percentage necking, volume porosity
· Provide in-house analytical support for issues relating to raw materials - e.g. chemical analysis of contamination in Porocoat bead
· Support NCs and CAPAs - provide technical reports
· Attend risk assessments relating to Porocoat
· Approver on ECOs and Change Controls relating to Porocoat
· Provide support for NPI activities - team member for product transfers
· Determine if/when external analysis is required and what techniques should be utilised; interpret the results of analysis and communicate outcome to Porocoat value stream
· Liaise with R&D
· Member of WW Porocoat team
· Provide daily technical manufacturing and process support to Operations
· Provide primary troubleshooting and problem solving support to the process when required.
· Lead new product / process improvement activity for Porocoat operations.
· Reviews product designs, test protocols and co-develop critical characteristics/tolerances for initial testing and validations and subsequent routine manufacturing controls.
· Participates in design evaluations where appropriate
· Acts as an advocate for continuous improvement activities using statistical techniques, Lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma, design experimentation for process and equipment, to achieve targets and cost savings.
· Coordinate with process related equipment suppliers and service providers.
· Be aware of impact of new products on manufacturing equipment - assess and support
· Be aware of quality elements of new products and assess their impact on current manufacturing process's equipment

Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry/Metallurgy/Material Science
- Strong technical background, good analysis and problem solving skills
- Relevant working experience or background is a plus
- Fluent English, good communication with worldwide team regarding the technical issues
