Responsibilities:
*Lead Supplier Quality team efforts towards achieving breakthrough quality and reliability improvements across our China suppliers
*Deploy the documented NPI SQE quality requirements across all suppliers ensuring that all requirements are met and product launches at mass production are successful with excellent quality and reliability.
*Lead and deploy automotive quality tools and methods (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, quality workshops) across the top 10 suppliers
Internalize and deploy warranty and field failure PPM metrics and goals with alignment to key supplier process area improvements including design, test, software, and manufacturing
*Work closely with sourcing team to drive supplier performance towards achievement of defined goals using the supplier scorecard process; deploy focused supplier improvement projects based on scorecard priorities.
*Build strong and effective working relationships with key supplier leadership and factory teams and promote teamwork and alignment to required continuous improvement plans.
*Foster teamwork across the regional quality and development quality engineering teams to insure total alignment of efforts and objectives
*Develop and upgrade the SQE team talent, skills, and effectiveness through coaching and mentoring, training and rotational assignments
*Use quality data effectively and frequently to focus efforts on top priorities and achieving results


Qualifications:
*10+ years solid experience in SQE management, automotive related supplier quality management practice will be a big plus.
*Strong hands-on knowledge in the use of quality tools and methods; Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S preferred
*Good understanding of Chinese ODM environments and able to work across all disciplines in driving improvement
*Familiarity of of product reliability accelerated stress testing
*Strong electronics background in audio/video technology and manufacturing; design and test engineering a plus;
*Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and influence skills
*Sound applied experience of ISO9001 and TS16949 quality standards
*Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or GB with 5+ years applied experience
*Experience with new product launch planning and readiness assessment
