Job Description & Responsibilities

Our Human Resource (HR) professionals are accountable for leading,establishing and maintaining the strategies, processes and systems which enable the Firm to fully leverage the skills and talents of all our people. The Human Capital function helps our leadership drive the firm's people strategy, helps to create a unique people experience for each individual, supports our firmwide values, and works to develop our people and drive individual and firmwide success in the marketplace. The Human Capital function supports our people in reaching their full potential which sets PwC apart as the distinctive Firm.


Risk & Controls Solutions (RCS) is a fast growing and dynamic group within the Assurance Line of Service (LoS). The RCS team provides internal control and risk management services to clients across China and Hong Kong. The Firm provides HR support to RCS through a national framework to provide our RCS partners and staff with strategic HR business advice, execute the RCS people strategy, and manage the normal business cycle of activities and processes. The RCS HR Relationship Manager needs to have the ability to develop strong business partnerships with RCS stakeholders, provide thought leadership and strategic insights, have the maturity to handle sensitive information make sound decisions, and be able to act quickly and effectively under pressure. The candidate should be able to execute programmes on a national scale across multiple geographic regions.


Requirements

The RCS HR Relationship Manager will be the primary HR advisor to the RCS Leader and People Partner for China and Hong Kong and other relevant clients and stakeholders. This person will be seen as the "go to" HR professional with recognised subject matter expertise. The candidate needs to drive effective execution of the RCS people strategy and facilitate driving the PwC Experience across all regions where RCS operates. This individual will be part of the Assurance HR national team working as a dedicated individual with their National RCS client.


The candidate should have demonstrated experience with the following:

· Driving consistent execution of national programmes at regional and local levels

· Building deep relationships and becoming a trusted HR business advisor to the business leaders within RCS

· Translating inputs from the business on strategic people priorities and implementing into a practical and executable approach

· Consulting heavily with various clients and stakeholders and balancing competing priorities to achieve results

· Developing and executing plans on day-today HR areas e.g., performance management, talent management, employee relations,compensation reviews, budget setting, etc.

· Holding accountability for local people metrics e.g., turnover,engagement scores, etc.

· Facilitating consistency of the application of the Firm's Performance Coaching & Development framework in all regions

· Developing and presenting management reports for business executives

· Teaming with other LoS HR teams across regions and functions on firmwide initiatives


Additional responsibilities and preferred knowledge:

· Consult with the RCS Leadership to develop and execute a Talent strategy that enables the broader business strategy; have a reasoned point of view and understand business perspectives to ensure a proper return on investment

· Implement Firm strategic priorities from East Cluster (Asia Pacific) or Global projects

· Share and collaborate with peers and HR colleagues in China and Hong Kong

· Consult, influence, advise, and coach your clients in performance related and employer relations issues

· Develop and consult with RCS stakeholders on manpower/workforce plans


Key skills and qualifications:

· Deliver value added results in a effective and timely manner

· Strong negotiation, influencing, and consultative skills with an ability to build strong client relationships with the business

· Strong strategic, generalist, and operational HR experience

· Proven project management and behavioural/culture change management experience

· Organisational awareness and ability to adapt to new and different situations

· A strong client service focus with an ability to achieve a balance between supporting and challenging the business

· Proactive thinker and worker with the ability to achieve results individually and on teams and the ability to quickly build rapports with professionals at all levels

· A high level of discretion and confidentiality

· Strong coaching and coordination skills

· Ability to handle high pressure situations and manage conflicting demands

· A "can do" attitude and a personality that brings enthusiasm and energy to the team


Minimum requirements

· At least 5 to 7 years of HR experience in an international professional services or large international corporate environment; extensive overseas work experience highly preferred

· Bilingual fluency in oral and written English and Mandarin

· Experience liaising and managing a people agenda with business units

· Demonstrated ability to steadily progress and advance with increased responsibilities including management, team building,and presentation to business leaders

· Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

· Preferred location is Beijing but this may be flexible depending on the candidate

· Bachelor's degree is required
