Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of tax compliance and consulting services across a wide range of China indirect tax issues;


• Assist clients who are undergoing investigations or audits with technical indirect tax issues and interactions with tax/government authorities;


• Identify opportunities, and develop and launch products for the local market;


• Coach and develop others within the China indirect tax team;


• Prepare VAT/BT related technical write ups and internal training courses;


• Assist in the financial and risk management of the China indirect tax practice.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum eight years' relevant experience, preferably with a public accounting firm;


• Strong knowledge of China indirect tax regulations and practice, including VAT and business tax compliance;


• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and lead a diverse team;


• Ability to understand, evaluate and apply complex technical concepts in the context of commercial realities;


• Good relationship with local authorities would be a plus;


• Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken;


• A university degree - preferably in economics, law, taxation or equivalent;


• CPA certificate or equivalent; and


• Self motivated and with good people skills.
