Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and other plant
personnel in the analysis of process problems, troubleshooting machining and
equipment problems as are appropriate to achieve proper process operation.

1.Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow,
and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

2.Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and
tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

3.Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment,
materials, tooling or parts, according to specifications and quality
standards.

4. Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and assist in
making the final technical choice.

5. Follows the evolution of the equipment and performs acceptance
evaluation accordingly.

6. Responsible for the implementation of the equipment on the floor from
delivery to hand off to production.

7. Responsible for documentation, preventive maintenance plans and
training.

8. Confers with management, design and other staff regarding manufacturing
capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to
facilitate production processes.

9. Supports day to day production.

10.Involvement in team meetings with production workers to help determine
and develop areas of improvement.

11.Works on new programs as assigned (APQP tasks).

12.Responsible for creating procedures, PFMEA's, and work flows in an
effort to meeting TS 16949 requirements.

13.A working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts.

14.Estimates, future manufacturing requirements and potential, help to ensure that the quality of the product produced meets all customer requirements.

15.Leads projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles to meet timing and budget as well as performance.
