Job Responsibility
1. Develop new products for customers, by carrying out laboratory studies, pilot trials and rigorous testing to fulfill technical and commercial requirements.
2. Work closely with existing suppliers and actively search for new suppliers with regards to films, adhesives, pigments, resins and process additives that can offer the Precision business both technical and commercial advantages
3. Specifically to help develop new material suppliers and process partners in Asia
4. Support the new customer development program by attending customer visits, creating samples, generating suitable literature and maintaining regular contact to make sure all test specifications and requirements are met.
5. Help the Asian sales teams to prepare for technical sales visits and ensure that the feedback is analysed and reviewed before project work continues.
6. Ensure good project management of all technical aspects allowing timescales to be set and progress to be monitored closely.
7. Use the Technical Reports format to define the development process with clear summaries, recommendations and all supporting data.
8. Use the NPI system to ensure a robust procedure is maintained for handing over new product developments to production which outlines mix formulations, process requirements, performance criteria and a final sign off etc.
9. Support project work and Worldmark goals by traveling to global locations in order to help maximize business opportunities.
10. Support Precision Technical Manager in other aspects of technical requests including technical service, UL and other approval requirements.
11. Be capable of working independently as well as part of the broader Worldmark MS team

Qualifications / Experience / Skills :
1 Honours degree level in a Chemistry/Scientific based subject
2 Minimum 5 years experience in related industries such as coatings, printing, ink development, film manufacture or other relevant materials science background.
3 Excellent communication skills and a very good level of spoken English
4 Good computing competence including being familiar with standard packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
5 Ability to work on their own initiative
6 A knowledge of flexography and digital print technologies would also be benfeficial
