Qualification:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with an emphasis in digital circuitry and FPGA design

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional in product development with circuit simulation, ECAD design, board build and test

3. Minimum 3 years experience using FPGA design and simulation tools, such as Quartus and/or Xilinx ISE, Active HDL and Modelsim

4. Minimum 3 years experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner schematic capture

5. Proven experience guiding PCB layout using Expedition

6. Extensive experience creating FPGA designs with VHDL or Verilog

7. Demonstrated experience with signal integrity analysis using Hyperlynx SI

8. Demonstrated experience meeting ESD, EMI and EMC compliance requirements

9. Has a full understanding of industry practices and/or company policies and procedures.

10. Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data or situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors

11. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for difficult assignments and of diverse scope.

12. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to analyze complex interdependent variables

13. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

14. Familiar with FPGA

15. Experience with Gigabit networking a plus

Responsibility:

1. Designs, simulates, develops, and verifies digital circuitry for high speed interfaces, clock distribution, and networking components.

2. Develops VHDL/Verilog for CPLD and FPGA devices.

3. Performs timing analysis and signal integrity analysis on digital designs.

4. Provides solutions to internal customers such as MCU, DSP, and FPGA firmware developers.

5. Works as part of a cross-functional development team, communicating effectively with team members

6. Estimates, organizes, and document tasks, following best practices for architecture, review, design, build and test.

7. Communicates complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

8. Reviews the designs and implementations of fellow engineers.

9. Provides feedback on the work of less experienced development engineers.

10. Technically mentors lower-level digital circuitry engineers.
