Job description
This role requires good communication skills, self-confidence and have an innate desire to help others develop their leadership skills. he/she could apply experience and knowledge of instructional delivery and facilitation principles to assesses, coaches and develops managers in alignment with IBM Leadership Development Framework. This is normally achieved by instructional delivery utilizing a variety of methods, media, and technologies. He/she is responsible for a thorough understanding of the subject matter, attainment of instructional objectives, motivation of students and application of instruction skills in a classroom and/or virtual environment. It requires both subject matter expertise and process expertise (where "process" could be face-to-face presentation skills, e-facilitation skills, use of classroom or online tools and technology, adult learning concepts, etc.)
Furthermore, this role will need to apply analytical and innovative thinking in developing and delivering high quality solutions that address customer business requirements by working closely with IBM HR Partners and Workforce Partners. Is instrumental in helping to formulate Learning Services policy and direction.

- Utilizes advanced performance technologies and training methodologies to guide and influence other learning professionals in determining, creating and/or deploying customer solutions that support project, function or business unit objectives.
- Demonstrates the required proficiency level for this position.
• Communication/Negotiation:
- Advises other extended team members (vendors, subcontractors, business and alliance partners, customers and IBMers from other functional areas) on approaches, tools and technologies and methodologies related to the design, development and delivery of learning solutions.
- Works and negotiates effectively with other team members to define team objectives. Guides and influences others to accomplish objectives.
• Problem Solving:
- Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to solution and applies creativity and judgment in implementing solution.
- Independently develops/delivers solutions by applying analytical skills and business experience and knowledge involving learning technologies, methodology, processes, tools and solution components.
• Contribution/Leadership:
- Leads cross-functional teams in analysis, problem-solving and evaluation activities to achieve performance objectives set by the education leader.
- Influences people outside own department through work with extended team (customers, vendors and subcontractors, business and alliance partners, and IBMers from other functional areas) and presentations on business-related topics to IBM and customer management.
- Understands training department/function mission and applies understanding to assigned projects and activities.
- May manage all or portion of a project, coordinate team members, define task plan, track and report on progress, and develop and/or deliver solution on time and within budget.
• Impact on Business/Scope:
- Accountable for quality results and timeliness of learning solution that meets customer needs for projects involving multifunctional teams.
- Regularly participates in training function program planning. Identifies, estimates and presents cost, schedule, resource requirements and risk considerations.
- Works directly with most levels of management. Activities have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and other business measurements.
- Has budgetary responsibility for medium to large projects.
