Your tasks:

• Define the lead universities and institutes in the key technology areas, establish regional academic network with the experts by organizing regular visits and workshops, and propose R&D projects for cooperation;

• Identify market trends of emerging technologies, participate the conferences & fairs, and figure out the industry roadmap for the emerging technologies;

• Understand deeply the technology trend in the field of battery, solid state ion-conductor, etc. and identify the key players and potential new product opportunity for SCHOTT together with central R&D;

• Collect the technical requirements of potential customers on new product, conduct the preliminary internal lab testings, organize the early evaluation of samples, and summarize the evaluation results as the base for future development;

• Prepare reports for all customer activities & lab evaluations, and presentations for projects, with high quality standard and time measures;

• Follow strictly company policy including EHS, equipment maintenance, lab 5s and compliance and take personal responsibility based on the department guideline.  

Your profile:

• PhD. or Master (with +2-years working experience) in Materials, Chemistry or Engineering, overseas experience preferred

• Good understanding on the structure-performance relationship of materials, and strong capability on materials testings and characterization

• Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills

• Problem solving capability in a dynamic environment

• Self-motivated with good organization skills

• Fluent in English and Chinese, with both written and oral communication skills
