Working on and supporting of engine projects within the German and the Chinese design department. Technical Chinese supplier contact in regard to design issues, interface to the Munich design department and iwis Munich and Shanghai quality department.

-3d modelling (single components and assemblies), drafting of customer and / or shop drawings and creating and updating of BOMs.

-By preparing the design concepts all technical, economic and ecological requirements defined iwis internally have be considered. Furthermore all customer specifications have to be meet successfully.

-Supporting and collaborate in preparing technical presentations for customer meetings, RFQs and SORs.

-Responsible in leading design reviews. Potential to extend to an application engineer (face to the customer, DVP, supporting testing ...)

Qualification

-University degree in mechanical engineering or engine related

-At least 3 years experience in product or product engineering in the automotive industry

-Knowledge of mechanical engineering in particular automotive combustion engines

-Strong knowledge of CAD modelling, drafting practices and GD&T

-Working knowledge of a CAD software preferred Pro/E

-Knowledge of prototype and production manufacturing processes (e.g. die casting, injection moulding, sintering...)

-Experienced in engineering documentation, FMEA, DVP, etc.

-Good communication (English) and teamwork skills

-Familiar with the APQP process

-Working knowledge of SAP/PDM would be a plus

-Personality: Good team work, passion, stability and visionary thinking
