Responsibilities:
The key areas of activity are:
？ To be an ambassador for AkzoNobel & to promote the total solution concept to all of our target customers
？ To gain a good understanding of our end customers organizations and key influencers in the routes to the market. In particular , to sell One AkzoNobel concept to the decision makers of property developers.
？ To identify the key people that we need to sell our proposition to & to ensure that good working relationships are fostered with these identified people.
？ To build the identified people networks.
？ To work together with field sales and marketers on the front line in various BUs in their dealings with customers and influencers. Also in respect of RD&I.
？ To be the key communication focus point for customers on XBU projects
？ To escalate any potential internal conflict to the BD director
？ To maintain good working relationships with key personnel from customers and help BU's to deliver required after sales service. To achieve the overall objective the key tasks are:
？ Formulate & activate a client winning product and service strategy together with an enabling project plan
？ To lead the identification of & to formalise the overall proposition per customer & to define any obvious gaps.
？ To formulate & implement a communication strategy for both inter-company & intra-company purposes.
？ To work with different BU's and prepare commercial offer for the project
？ To define a simple but effective system so that all projects (products and services) can be prioritized, evaluated, tracked and delivered.
？ To identify and participate in influential trade/industrial shows/exhibitions
？ To define and organize systematic marketing activities (eg seminars to developers/designers) to influence stakeholders.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate degree or equivalent
Relevant Experience: Should have direct and extensive experience of the coatings industry and/or commercial property/construction related industries. This includes direct customer business development and/or sales/marketing experience.
Personal Skills: Very good people skills to relate to both customers and internal contacts at all levels; able to execute sales and marketing plans together with BU field sales/marketing personnel on the ground, persuading and influencing; good team player; innovative; problem solver; entrepreneurial. Mandarin and able to read English
Additional Information:
A One AkzoNoble approach towards the Building and Infrastructure segment will enable us to leverage our full resources and scales to win more business. A multi bu team have already been in place in the past year and a number of mega projects need to be thoroughly followed up and a number of new projects are on the horizon. The total value of these projects amount to hundreds of millions RMB. Currently there is no systematic system in place to evaluate, track, monitor, follow up and deliver multi-BU projects.
A full time project manager is needed to help all BU's involved to market their products to target customers as well as generate extra revenue for the company.
