Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
· Research and analyze updated China Customs regulations and policies applicable to GE O&G Project teams · Work with O&G project teams for daily import and export operation · Support on-site compliance reviews of the business and implement compliance process improvements or new process establishments. provide regular reporting of compliance metrics · Act as liaison to local and regional Customs officials in resolving government inquiries and audits · Assistant and advise O&G project teams in China in support of their import and export operations and in solving import and export regulatory issues · Support GE Leadership as a single front to customs and other relevant controlling agencies for O&G project team · Support CoE initiations to establish compliant yet simple operations model for concerned shipments while taking advantage of duty-savings opportunities, e.g. ITC (International Trade Control), CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) program, FTA (Free Trade Agreement) classification, China Customs compliance control system etc. · Support center of excellence (CoE) leader to manage China import an export transaction consultancy

Qualifications/Requirements
· Good Bachelors degrees in economics or business· Preferably with more than 4 years of relevant working experience in Customs/trade compliance-related operations or consultancy· Demonstrated understanding of Customs / trade compliance & logistics processes. Especially familiar with free trade zone, bonded logistics park, processing trade and electronic industrial HS Code classification.· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing, interpersonal and communication skills· Self-starter, creative, exhibits ownership, initiative, clear thinker and able to work as a team· Proactive with strong leadership, growth potential, be willing to stretch and results oriented.· Ability to work in an autonomous environment· Excellent on Microsoft PC application· Good Mandarin and English communication skills· Working experience in other MNC is better
