Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

l Create, develop and realize high quality product design from concept to finalization in a collaborative environment, in a timely manner and in a cost effective way.

l Apply current product design to new platform perhaps with optimization and localization.

l Execute drawing releases, handle engineering changes (internal, customer and suppliers), and document necessary materials during all project phases.

l Create bill of materials (BOM) and maintain it in SAP.

l Communicate with customers periodically and effectively to obtain technical agreements and to get technical requirements from customers. Provide technical support/solutions to customer.

l Design and implement changes to existing parts to resolve field problems and improve product performance and reliability.

l Work with other departments to discuss design improvement opportunities and ensure product meets all requirements.

l Provide product knowledge support to other functions as necessary.

l Address questions regarding clarifications, deviations requests and drawing accuracy.
