1 BACKGROUND
Autoliv develops and produces Active Safety systems for various automotive applications: Vision, Radar, Night Vision systems. While core development of these sensors is located in Europe and the US, Project Management and Application Engineering related activities, need to be located close to the customer, in China. Autoliv is therefore committed to developing regional capability for managing awarded business.

2 POSITION OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of the position is to manage in an effective manner all Project related deliverables (QCDDM) between all entities involved in the project under consideration of all stakeholders needs.

3 COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
The main communication channels used by the PTL are:
– Local Customer contacts, including regular contacts with Customer Management level for direction alignment
– Local Engineering Team in China
– Engineering and Project Management Team in the Platform center(s), and manufacturing facilities(s)

4 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Project Management and Team Leadership
– Owns and manages the project, being fully responsible for its successful completion in meeting all QCDDM targets
– Leads the project team
– Coordinates between the key project functions:
o LMs for specific project team staffing and training
o BU for commercial related items
o DL for technical (Application) related items
o Platform Leader for project related items
o NPPI for operations (Plant) related items
o Project Buyer for procurement related items
o QA for quality related items
– Manages the project according to:
o Autoliv Project Development System (APDS)
o Customer APQP requirements
– Manages project risks
– Manages project changes

5 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Potentially supports quotation activities

6 REPORTING
The PTL reports directly to the PTL Manager.
The PTL reports functionally to the Active Safety Engineering Director.

7 PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
7.1 Level of diploma
– Recommended Bachelors in engineering or science or equivalent (Masters is a plus)
7.2 Work experience
– Minimum 5 years of leading project in automotive electronics, or minimum 8 years of technical leading experience in electronics related industry.
– Having a valid driver’s license and capability to drive a car for testing purposes.
7.3 Interpersonal Skills
– Fluent Chinese & Chinese Culture
– Proficient English (business related)
o ILR Level 3 minimum, Level 4 is preferred
– Knowledge about (automotive) electronics product development
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
7.4 Skills in relationship and management / leadership
– Good leadership skills to drive the team in the right direction
– Good negotiation skills to drive alignment between the various stakeholders
– Able to handle ambiguity and environments of constant change
– Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
– Being proactive and curious

8 LOCATION
Primary Location of Employment: Autoliv China, Jiading CTC office.
Domestic and overseas business trips will be required.
