SUMMARY

This position must have the authority to implement global programs at MO standards at all of the VAST operating Entities.
Is accountable for achieving program targets for cost, quality, and timing.
Responsible to report all Global Program related issues to Vast Program Manager at relevant MO.
Responsible for all communication with Customer Engineering, along with the relevant MO Product Engineering. Proficient with the customer's new product launch system.
Responsible for all communications with the Customer Launch Team while simultaneously launching a new product into production. Proficient with the customer's and MO's change control system
Responsible for leading and coordinating MO's cross functional teams that are made up of a variety of cultures, which are located in different time zones, from concept to mass production.
Demonstrated APQP background from Quote to launch.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Or Manufacturing Degree from a certified 4 year program
PMI and/or PDMA certification
Five to Eight years Engineering and Program Management experience in Door Handles
Five to Eight years experience working with a Sr. Program Manager
Customer specific launch and change control system training
Experience working with Asian and European cultures.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Responsible for achieving program targets for cost, quality, and timing against established program targets.

2. Responsible for creating and maintaining program timing plans and to monitor progress to the plan.

3. Responsible for building CFT (Cross Functional Team) with all functional managers support as well as lead the CFTs to execute project milestones to support program.




4. Responsible for facilitating and coordinating CFT members execution of program deliverables as listed in VPES and the relevant MO's product realization processes, as well as all APQP, PPAP, TS16949 and additional customer requirements.

5. Responsible to create and/or update program budget, for the purpose of tracking all program costs.

6. Pre-production part builds and delivery- responsible for all sample requests, layout requests, test lab requests, Run at Rate, plant (Customer and MO) support and customer ramp up.

7. Coordinate new resin and paint color submissions

8. Creation of test plans (DVP&R) and PV test plans.

9. Responsible to align program activities with VAST China Program Execution System (VPES), or any other system VCN may adopt in the future.

10. Responsible to schedule, facilitate and attend technical reviews, including design review, program launch meetings, process review, testing review, tooling design review and other technical program reviews with CFT members to review program progress and discuss solution to risks and issues, as well as publish meeting minutes.

11. Responsible to facilitate and monitor recovery plans for any program milestone that may be slipping from original program plan.

12. Responsible to understand the methodology of risk management, and hosts meetings to identify and evaluate program risks as early as possible, as well as take proper mitigating actions to prevent risks from becoming an issue.

13. Responsible to regularly report overall program status program status with respect to launch readiness, quality and cost to VCN Management and MO Management.







OTHER ACTIVITIES:



Engineering support for legacy products currently in mass production or service
Working with MO Sales and Commercial/calculations teams on customer RFQ's
VA/VE activity. Supplier localization to meet cost targets. Specifically working with MO Advanced Engineering and MO Sales on gathering and generating data for new materials, new design concepts, new technologies, and presenting it to the customer
