AMD and Machine Learning

Intelligent applications that respond with human-likereflexes require an enormous amount of computer processing power. AMD’s maincontributions to ML and DL systems come from delivering high-performancecompute (both CPUs and GPUs) with an open ecosystem for software development.ML and DL applications rely on computer hardware that can support the highestprocessing capabilities (speed, capacity, and organization) to simultaneouslymanage complex data sets from multiple input streams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Optimize deep learning frameworkslike TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. on AMD processors

· Collaborate and interact withinternal GPU library teams to analyze and optimize training and inference fordeep learning

· Collaborate with open-sourceframework maintainers and understand and implement their requirements

· Work in a distributed computingsetting to optimize for both scale-up (multi-GPU) and scale-out (multi-node)systems

· Work with cutting-edge compilertechnologies

· Optimize the entire deep learningpipeline

· Apply your knowledge of softwareengineering best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work independently,define project goals and scope, and lead your own development effort.

· Excellent C/C++ programming andsoftware design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and testdesign.

· Knowledge of GPU computing andbasic understanding of Deep Learning is a plus

EDUCATION:

· Masters or PhD or equivalentexperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

· 3 years of relevant work orresearch experience
