The occupier of this post will take full responsibility to overall operation of Collection Development Division in the Library, to make the strategic plan and budget of this division, to be responsible for its divisional team building and team member training to maintain a high work quality and good performance.

Main Responsibility and Accountability:
1. To make divisional annual budget plan to accommodate the operation for each academic year.
2. To make divisional annual action plan, to lead the team to fulfill the task in book purchasing and cataloguing.
3. To make training plan for the team member for them to maintain a high level of professional skills to catch the advanced library professional cataloguing technology.
4. To be responsible for the daily operation of Collection Development.
5. To research into the collection development and make sure a balanced collection structure and efficient resources in the Library.
6. To be responsible for the annual performance review for Collection Division.
7. To develop and improve the cooperation model between purchasing team and cataloguing team, based on the ILS management system
8. To assist in the university program development by providing sufficient library resources and data.

Personal Requirements

Skills and Knowledge:
1. Able to work effectively and independently with strong self-initiative in a dynamic, global, multi-cultural environment.
2. Positive working attitude with customer service orientated mindset.
3. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
4. Have good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills both in English and Chinese.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree or above.
2. Having background in Library Science, Business Administration, Information science, Human Resources Management is preferred.
3. At least 5 years above related working experiences in library, especially in cataloguing and purchasing
4. Above 5 years’ experience in leading a team, rich managerial experience with team management.
5. Hands-on experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
