Engineering Manager-Based in Jiaxing Plant


Leggett & Platt, Incorporated, an S&P 500 diversified manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Home Furniture Components (HFC) operations in Jiaxing, China. The facility specializes in the manufacturing of the highest quality recliner motion mechanisms, seating systems, and sleep sofa hardware. The Engineering Manager will have a thorough understanding of product design and have strong project management skills to oversee the design, testing, and evaluation of machinery and parts.



Responsibilities:

Resolve design problems for modifications or original designs for function, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, safety, and cost-effectiveness
Implement programs to meet requirements set by customer or marketing specifications
Develop and evaluate designs, test results, and set cost goals to meet product specification
Provide solutions to problems in conceptual design stage
Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve productivity
Coordinate various functions to meet program schedule


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, R&D or related field
5+ years' experience in management experience within a manufacturing environment
Bilingual-English and Chinese
Furniture industry experience a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The ideal candidate will be creative, have strong technical skills, and the initiative to the complete projects without missing deadlines. Other qualities would include excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be efficiently organized.
