Basic Function:
Responsible to design the lining molds and machining fixtures. Lead the run in process for molds and fixtures together with operations. Work with and qualify suppliers for mold and fixtures. Setup and maintain mold and fixture database and be responsible for maintenance and repair for molds and fixtures.

Primary duties & responsibilities:
1. Understand lining and machining processes to be able to design respective molds and fixtures.

2. Setup and maintain mold and fixtures database and organize and document regular checking intervals. Take care of repair work and respective documentation.

3. Design new molds and fixtures according to parts and process requirements. Find suitable suppliers for those parts. Work with suppliers to produce high quality molds and fixtures.

4. Work with operations to run in and improve lining molds and lining processes - respective for machining.

5. Implement the training for production lining dept.

6. Working close and coordinate with headquarter engineers for design and drawings modifications.


Skills essentials to the job
1. Technical:
1). General knowledge of plastics processing - i.e. injection molding.
2). If available experience in processing fluoroplastics.
3). Good understanding of manufacture process;
4). General knowledge of quality system and tool, Lean, Kaizen; 6-sigma;
5). General knowledge 3D Computer Aided Design (Pro Engineer preferred)
6) Experience in mold design (i.e. injection molding)
7) General knowledge of Database software (Access, Excel, ...)

2. Business
1). Project management skills
2). Good written and oral skills in both English and Chinese;

3. Human Relations:
1). Ability to get along with people from a variety of cultural background and can listen;
2). To be a honest person and be willing to help others;
3). Hands on mentality.

Qualifications required
1. Bachelor degree in engineering (Material, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industry control..)
2. Over 3 years experience in mold design and plastics processing
3. Over 5 years working experience in manufacturing organizations
