What you will do:
What we look for:
Thisposition is to support PowerSolutions aftermarket business decisions which include aftermarket businessgrowth opportunity identification, product planning, price adjustment, brandcommunication strategy and planning optimization, and other business decisions throughmarketing data analysis and marketing research programs. The role also leads marketing survey projectsto understand brand health, consumer journey analysis, pricing study, consumerand customer feedback on brand, products and marketing programs.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, coordination, execution and updating of ongoing primary and secondary market research activities, including car parc data gathering, market size analysis, vehicle fitment data collection, writing, reporting and presenting.
- Drive 3rd party vendor to analyze car parc registration data by city and car parc fitment analysis
- Data analysis to understand market potential by product group by city to identify growth opportunities at city and regional level
- Lead annual pricing survey project to understand price movement through value chain for key players in the market in order to support price decisions
- Collect pricing data through internal information channels, market visits to distributors, retailer stores and workshops
- Collect sales volume and margin data for regular internal reporting and product dashboard analysis
- Support product planning projects with product portfolio analysis, car parc and fitment analysis, OE information and pricing data.
- Competitors product marketing and brand communication activities monitoring to guide VARTA brand communication and product marketing activities planning
- Plan, design and execute marketing survey projects for continuous improvement for brand building, product development and marketing programs. The marketing survey projects includes but not limited to brand funnel tracking, consumer purchase journey, product usage and attitude, pricing study along value chain, customer and consumer feedback on marketing programs.
- Perform other related projects as assigned
- Verify Battery Fitment data for applications in marketing and sales activities.
- Work with Product management & other key functions to ensure road map of product/services/initiatives are clearly understood and supported in portfolio of offerings.
- Support product execution/launch, including: promotion and communication of product, technologies & services at events, i.e. customer meetings/training, trade shows, etc.
- Develop tools, reporting/dashboards to provide portfolio visibility to key work partners and drive accountable business results.
- Advocate the voice of the customer, market & product requirements in the product planning, development & launch process.
- Maintain and publish a concise list of all active parts quarterly -- BLGS (Battery Line by Group Size) and portfolio road maps.
What we look for:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline
- Preferred 5 years’ experienced in market intelligence, research, analysis or strategy development preferably in an engineering, manufacturing or science environment
- Experience implementing and developing market intelligence or knowledge management portals
- Able to travel
- High degree of comfort and skill in using analytical tools and systems
- Good communication skills with people, particularly with B2B customers and end-users
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
