Job title: Senior Scientist

Position Summary

To apply advanced technical expertise/broad experiences in the design & execution of experiments/clinical trials for the development of veterinary vaccines.

Position reports to the Director, VMRD Beijing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Apply advanced technical and functional knowledge to the design of experiments/clinical trials for the development of animal vaccines

2. Lead project teams or sub-teams to develop vaccines

3. Design and execute clinical programs

4. Design, develop, validate and perform assays

5. Troubleshoot assay issues

6. Write protocols, reports, and technical documents suitable for regulatory submission in a timely manner

7. Build and maintain internal and external networks

8. Train/supervise junior staffs

Requirements (if applicable)

1.Advanced knowledge of Cell Culture, Virology, Veterinary Medicine or Immunology and their application to the development of veterinary vaccines

2. Scientific expertise gained through either a PhD in a relevant field (Virology, immunology or other relevant disciplines) or several years of direct experience in vaccine development and DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)

3. Ability to lead teams/sub-teams, work as a team player and communicate fluently in Chinese and English

4. Ability to collate and present study data and to prioritize project tasks

5. Ability to work flexible hours and travel; experiences in clinical work or production process development will be favorable
